The test came out negative, for which I'm grateful. But which doesn't help in explaining what's going on. I've had headaches the last two days, and my stomach has been bothering me, too. My next guess would be the birth control, since I switched the time I'm taking it. But I really don't know. My doctor's appointment is tomorrow, and I plan to track when I start feeling sick and headachy in relation to when I take my pill. That should help at least keep my mind focused on a possible solution.

In other news, my dear mother in law has taken it upon herself to spread out all the towels across the bathroom. The towels I put in the laundry basket last night. And then, just now, left another towel hanging on the door and another puddled on the floor. Along with a rag hanging in the shower. I'm assuming she spread them out to dry, so they wouldn't grow mold or something. Which is a smart thing to do...except I was already planning on doing laundry today. So those towels went right back into the basket and down to the laundry room. The towels are getting washed about twice a week. There's really no worries about them getting moldy in that time, which is why I dump them in the basket every night.

My HSP is going into overdrive on this. It's like she's trying to do the same things she's been doing for ages, but I'm beating her to it, so she's yanking them out of my processes, and trying to shove them back in hers. Except I do mine regularly; I check every day, and she doesn't. Which is why the dishes get done daily, and the sinks occasionally stay empty for longer five minutes.

She's used to not doing things every day. I get it. It's me that it bothers, so I want to fix it. It's not up to her to fix it and try to make me happy, because I'm the only one bothered. She obviously lived relatively happily like that for a long time. And I'm here, upsetting her natural order of things, and taking over her house. I'm pretty sure she's realized what's going on now; I would have, I think. It seems like she's actually trying to fight back. Although she maybe doesn't realize it. I don't know. If that's what she's doing, she's never going to make any progress the way she's going. The way she does things just isn't very efficient. It gets stuff done, but it's slow, interrupted a lot, and just wastes time. It takes her days to do her laundry. I've seen her do this. it didn't take as long last time, because I've been washing the towels. But the way I do it is less time intensive. It gets done at least once a week, more often twice, and is one of my first chores in the morning. So if she is trying to fight back, she's not going to make any headway like that.

I think she might have finally realized that I'm doing a huge portion of the work, and that it's diminished her own influence here. If it was me, I'd feel diminished, minimized, displaced, and resentful. But at this point, I feel very similar on the other side. I'd like to be friends with her, but I don't know how right now. We're in this weird limbo, where the house is partially under my control, and partially under hers. I'm not stable, and neither is she. It's a really weird dynamic.

As of now, my plan is to continue my takeover of the house, and once I do feel stable, reach out to her. Somehow.
