Doing better
It's been a while since I did an update here. That's because I've had such tummy problems since the beginning of May. Well, I'm happy to report that the last two days have been better. A number of years ago I'd been diagnosed with gastritis, GERD, diverticulitis and hiatial hernia. So when I started having severe pain last month I really didn't know which one was causing it. There wasn't much I could eat that didn't distress me, so I ended up living on the most bland of stuff - farina, noodles, etc. That sure didn't help my weight loss goal any! I added Greek yogurt and honey. Tried a cleanse, but just got worse. I'm not sure what is beginning to help. My pain that had stayed above 4 is now down to 1 or 2. I did give up my much-loved coffee for breakfast and switched to green tea with Kombucha and honey. Just went shopping this morning and stocked up on green tea and yogurt. I feel like I'm climbing out of a cave I've been in for the last month. It is so hard to think about anything else when your stomach hurts all the time. And I must begin to think of other things, as I'm planning a surprise birthday party for my DH who will be 80 next month. I wish all my friends here could come!
Family-wise, not much changes. My oldest son told me he plans to marry, for the fourth time next Spring. She is in Texas and will be giving up her military pension and health care to marry this idiot who can't even take care of himself! 'Nuf said?
My daughter, who moved to Utah years ago without letting me know, will be moving to Oregon at the end of July. Guess I'll never see her again.
My youngest son just turned 48 this week. He communicates with me by text only.
I have found lots of good friends here and on Facebook. And I have good neighbors. So I believe all things balance out in the end.
Thanks for being here, Friends!

Glad you are feeling better. You know what they say, you\'d don\'t choose your family, but you do choose your friends.
