So the re appointment wasn't as great as I wanted it to be. The MTHFR I have is the homozygogenous type. He said this is the worst type and I have 2 mutations of it. It puts me in a 40% risk cattegory for miscarriage, if I stay on my folgard It puts me down to a 25% risk. I have a borderline apa so he told me to start a baby aspirin a day. He took more blood to do more tests yesterday and is starting me on provera since I haven't started my period yet. I have to call the first day of my cycle and go in for more tests on day 3 and also schedule a sonohystogram. I have to wait this month out on ttc. I am kind of scared to start again. My dh and I have talked about it and we decided we are going to do the tests and use the rest of the femara I have (I have enough for 2 rounds). We are also going to seriously start researching how to start adoption. The more I think about ttc again the more scared I get. Even if I were to get pregnant again I would not enjoy it at all, I would be scared the whole time. I was worried this last time and then we saw the heartbeat and everyone said once you see the heartbeat you are only like a 7% risk of miscarriage so I relaxed and then miscarried. I would be worried even up to the end. My friend lost her baby 6 weeks before her due date and everything had gone perfectly. Babies are stillborn everyday that would be a worry also. The re also keeps mentioning that we are now at a high risk for having a baby with a neural tube defect because of the mthfr. We are really considering adoption right now and maybe later on in a few years ttc on our own again. We really just want a child right now, we don't really care where it comes from.
