progress

Can't believe that things are progressing so quickly when it comes to having the surgery. I have the first of three parts of my psych exam scheduled for May 17 at 1 pm and after that the other two parts will be scheduled within a month from that.  I have the first and second part of the sleep study scheduled with the consultation being April 11 at 8:30 am and the actual sleep part of it being the night of May 4.  My second visit with the surgeons office will be on April 27 and then I will only have five more months to do for the supervised diet.  Its so hard to believe that I am each day getting closer to this really happening.  I just wish that I would recover a little quicker from my recent injury so that I could exercise once again.  I can't walk because the foot is still sore and a little swollen along with the knee.  I can't swim because well the foot and the knee are sore and can't handle me getting out of the water and not to mention the little thing called a cast on my wrist for the next six weeks.  I've been trying to do some easy yoga on my bed none the less because that is what I can get up from given my condition.  It just gets frustrating that when you want to do something you can't because of some stupid mistake.  But it makes me feel good that things are moving along and before I know it I will have all the requirements met and be fretting because I am about to have the surgery.  The psychologist will be able to assess my personal situation and recommend the appropriate person to talk to.  I am looking forward to meeting with her and plan on being completely honest because I want to make sure that since I already suffer from depression that I make this the best journey possible and get the best help I can.  I'm anxious about the sleep study because I really don't think I like the idea of firstly sleeping somewhere else where people are watching/monitoring me all night and two what if they find that I need a cpap machine I don't know how well I will tolerate the machine.  I can't stand to have anything on my face when I am sleeping.  That part has me fretting and almost in tears.  The other two major parts is the pulmonary and cardiology reports.  I am actually not that worried about either to much.  Every time I have ever had ekg or any other test with my heart it has turned out fine.  I just can't wait to get everything all over with because I think that the scariest part of any procedure is the waiting for the results.

You are doing great. The time will pass quickly and then it\'s your turn. Don\'t worry about the cpap. There are so many different styles and they let you try the different ones so see what is most comfortable.
