Update
Thought I would update my journal instead of just updating my status. I go in tomorrow to my RE's ofc (going in b/c I AF showed and they are doing u/s & b/w to make sure I can go forward w/ stims) and I am somewhat nervous. Always the pesimist, I keep wondering if I have a cyst and they cancel my cycle for some reason. I'm just so darn scared of the whole process. As it fastly approaches, my nerves are heightened! DH and I had a long discussion last night at dinner about transferring one vs two embies. I have read studies on getting great results on transferring just one (like some countries are doing) if the egg quality is great in women my age. I know I've always told myself, if I do IVF and pay that much money, I'm transferring two...but to be honest I am scared to death of twins. See, I'm looking way ahead....because it might not work. See why I have to take xanax everynight right now b/4 I go to bed. The what if's and why's and doubts are killing my head...I think I went to bed lastnight w/ an actually headache because my brain has been on overload...can that possible happen?? So we shall see what my doc says tomorrow....

This is nerve wracking! Don\'t beat yourself up about being anxious. It is totally normal. I hope that everything goes well tomorrow. I am sure it will (but completely understand waiting for the other shoe to drop. ) Try to be nice to yourself. Have you tried meditation? I find it helpful when I am really stressed. You can download some short ones on itunes. Just an idea! Thinking of you, my friend!
Good Luck tomorrow. I know that everything will go well for you. YOu have to STAY positive no matter how difficult it is. It is essential to your success. I am thinking about you=) TRY and relax as much as possible, but I know how difficult that can be. HUGS!
Good luck tomorrow and try to think positive. My DH is always the pessimist too but look at us now! So it is possible! Thinking of you and hoping this cycle is the ONE!
Best of luck tomorrow, Shannon. I completely understand the what ifs and whys. I have been doing that myself, but I have decided I need to relax and take it day-by-day if I am going to stay sane. Im sure everything will be just fine. Keep us posted.
I will be praying for you app. tomorrow! I know it\'s stressfull and there are so many questions. You want everything to be PERFECT! Just know that there are so many people cheering you on :)
Hi there, I totally understand and am in the same boat. I\'m still on bcpills but my doc had \'the talk\' with me about doing one if the quality is good. Since I have fibroids she is very afraid of me being able to carry twins. I feel that for all that we are doing, I want to give myself the best chance and it seems that putting two is the best way to do that. Anyway, no real advice and sorry to take over, just know you are not alone! Good luck!
I know that all of this is very overwhelming. I wish you the very best of luck tomorrow and pray everything goes the way you want it to. If I were you, and you were deathly afraid of transfering two good eggs, then do one top grade and one that isn\'t the best.. the are thought to help the stronger eggs attach, so I was told. Twins aren\'t that bad. If its all you know, meaning you don\'t know how it is with just one baby, then you do what you have to do. Let us know how things go.
Shannon, I\'m sure things will be fine tomorrow. I think it\'s good to be a little nervous. After all it\'s a BIG thing you\'re about to jump on and it will change you\'re life. One or two, that\'s the question. I chose two, but truthfully, I don\'t think it matters. They will either stick or they don\'t. I wish you well tomorrow.
The \"unknown\" and \"uncertainity\" of this process can be very overwhelming at times. Try you\'re best to stay in the moment, taking one thing/day/minute at a time. I am a very anxious person so I know how difficult this can be, especially through the IVF process! When you get to transfer your heart will tell you which embabies you are meant to transfer. I pray that all goes well at your apt. today. ((hugs))
