Update
So this morning was my appointment with the neuro to discuss no more work and disability. I have prayed for DAYS that this would go well--and it did. He supports my conclusion that I need to stop working. He asked if my PCP concurred, which is always a ticklish subject. I don't feel comfortable asking her about it b/c she works for my company's medical center. Conflict of interest and all. So the neuro will email me the paperwork this week and things should get rolling. I have no idea how long this takes, but I am fast working toward closing up projects and putting them in transferable order. This is such a relief!

I hope it all goes smoothly for you. Your PCP may surprise you - the nurse at my company was the person who got the ball rolling for me to leave work and get disability. When she saw how sick I was, with my permission, she contacted my doctor and helped me get the necessary paperwork started. My manager was fully on board with it, as well. I hope you get the same kind of support I experienced. It made a very painful decision/process a lot easier.
Thanks for sharing, mb! I love my FNP at work. She\'s been my FNP most of my adult life, for almost twenty years. I lost her for a year when I came to my current company, but then she showed up here a year later and it\'s been great. I believe she would tell the truth about my condition, if it didn\'t bear on her job. I just don\'t trust my employer that much on her behalf. So, I decided to take the burden off of her. My neuro agreed with me that this is necessary and has finally completed the letter. I should have it today.
