i've been really frustrated about my weight recently. i've been working out a lot and eating really well for the most part and i've actually gained weight. what i think is happening is that i'm gaining muscle but have not yet averaged the right amount of calories. on most days i do really well but from the way it looks with my food journal, i'm still averaging around 1900 cals. the problem is that on the few days that i've eaten too much, it was waaaay too much and maybe the days were a little close together. so my good eating and bad eating seem to be canceling each other out. therefore, i now need to step it up. i'm almost there. i got the workouts down and now i just need to cut back on some of the eating.  as i mentioned before, i've been smoking weed often lately. im pretty good at controlling my eating but there are times at work where i know it screws with my judgement a little. so what i want to start doing is, if i'm working, i'll only smoke in the morning and not a second time during lunch. (i got in the habit of smoking on the way to work and then again during our lunchbreak. i know it sounds weird but trust me, there's no need for concern. it just makes sitting around and doing nothing more fun...and i'm not the only one who does this.) i think its after that second time that really gets to my eating cuz during the first half of the day i'm fine. so we'll see how this goes...maybe i'll have to give up smoking before i go too....but i'm just gonna work on one at a time. otherwise, things are really good....and i hope ya'll are good too!

1900 CALORIES SEEMS LIKE A LOT, I\'M 5\'3 AND CURRENTLY WEIGH 140 AND I SHOULD BE LOW 1465 W/MODERATE EXERCISE AND ABOUT 1704 W/HEAVY EXERCISE. YEAH, MAYBE CUT BACK ON THE SUGARS, CARBS, ETC. AND I DON\'T KNOW ABOUT THE SMOKING, I\'VE NEVER DONE IT BUT GREW UP AROUND IT MY WHOLE LIFE. I\'M SURE YOU WILL FIGURE THINGS OUT AND GET BACK ON TRACK IN NO TIME. YOU PROBABLY HAVE A LOT GOIN ON SO IT\'S HARD TO GET BACK TO NORMAL. GLAD YOU HAD A NICE TIME AT THE BBQ, THAT\'S ALWAYS FUN. I LOVE CAKE, MY FAVORITE BUT LATELY NO TASTE FOR IT REALLY, PASSED IT UP AT SATURDAYS PARTY. HAD A PC OF COOK INSTEAD :) SOMETIMES WE HAVE TO HAVE THAT TASTE AND BE OK WITH IT. TAKE CARE AND GLAD TO HEAR YOUR DOING OK. KATHY

Bound to be muscle. Maybe a tape measure would give you a more accurate reading? I don\'t think it matters much that your calorie count goes up sometimes because you have a really active lifestyle (honestly you do compared to most people!) so you are prob burning a lot of it off!

It will all equal itself out in the end. As long as you are eating well and exercising the weight will catch up in the end. You right not to fret just keep focused and the rest will follow.

i\'m so proud that you are able to keep up with the journaling! i\'m going to private message you now.
