Day 46 - the number of peaks in the adirondack mountain range (there is an unofficial 47th but we dont need to include that one)pretty good day today. i ate a little over 2000 cals, oops. i was good until i went grocery shopping and bought soy and flax tortilla chips. i ate them out of the bag and had too many. i probably had about 4 servings, each being about 7 chips, and i was very very full after. what's funny is back when i was a binger i would have needed much more food than that to feel as full as i do now! looks like my stomach has shrunk a little. woohoo! so i guess with a not so great action came a good realization.however, a rule i like to go by, especially now that i'm focusing more on weight loss than binges, is to only go above 2000 cals once a week. the way i keep track of this is with the food journal i have on my computer. it has a bar graph that shows how many calories i've had each day for as many days as i want to look at. so when i set it at 7 days, my goal is to have no more than 1 bar go above the 2000 line at a time. i've been trying to do this but i get careless with it too often. but now i'm declaring it. right now i have 2 in the past 7 days. now, i will not let myself go over 2000 until there are no more there. the only exception i can give myself is if i'm away from home all day and are unable to keep track on there. it gets a little dificult to keep track when i dont enter food often and i dont want to spend my day adding up calories in my head....that's why i let the computer do it!the rest of my day was pretty good. this afternoon i worked on a documentary show on the WE channel for a show about women in prison. it was all re-anactments and i was a lady who killed her mom. my face is never shown, cuz then people would know its not her, but it was still a good time. i'll tell you this though, its pretty sick what some people do. lets all be grateful that we're sane!!!

That sounds like a harrowing job you had there! I am not sure I could do that without getting upset. Congrats on your very reasonable and rational approach to weight loss. No self destructive, self sabotaging \'all or nothing\' for you! Hurrah for beating the all or nothing demon!

I really admire your rationale with food intake - I know that for me if I go over my intake of what I think is normal foodwise I have to get back on track the next day else I panic and go haywire. Like BittenKitten says - boo to the all or nothing demon!!
