Day 28 - 4 weeks! yay for 4 weeks! yesterday i did so well i want to tell everyone about it. i had a very early morning call (the call time is when i have to be at the set) and when i got there, the table had breakfast options set up. luckily, i ate before i left (which i always do...i wake up hungry!) so i wasnt really tempted. however, those doughnuts were staring me in the face, just wanting me to have one. but i said no, i wasnt even hungry and there was no need to start my day off on the wrong foot.when lunch time came around, i went to the studio cafe and was joined by a woman who was also working as background on the set. i ordered a turkey burger and was planning to get fruit salad as my side...but of course they had no more fruit! so my choices now were onion rings, fries, cole slaw, or potato salad. the only two i actually like are onion rings and fries. now, i know that neither of them would be a good choice but i went with the fries and just hoped i'd be able to control myself. luckily, the lady i was with also got a turkey burger and fries so we ate at the same pace. we also did a lot of talking which slowed me down. now, they gave me this huge heaping pile of fries and i'm not even lying when i say i ate probably about 15 ( i mean, come on, its not like i wasnt going to have ANY!), and they were the little shoestring ones so that's good i think! i mean, there were like 50 more fries left on that plate (ok, i really have no idea with theses numbers here but honestly, i didnt eat that many). what i did was concentrate on eating my burger, not the fries. so i was very proud of limiting my fry intake, leaving about 3/4 of them on my plate at the end, and i didnt really feel stressed out while they were in front of me. i remember times similar to this one where i'd actually be stressing about not eating too many of them during the entire meal....well not this time!so after we got back from lunch, the snack table was replenished with afternoon food. this included veggies and dip, oreos, fun size candy (hershey's, nestle crunch, skittles, star burst, etc), goldfish, trailmix, and 1 serving bags of chips and cheetos. so what did i chose to snack on later??? veggies!! and no dip!!! go me! i didnt even eat one oreo (but ok, i had ONE nestle's crunch, but whatever!). i was proud, let me tell you. all these challenges i conquered toady were things that i've dealt with before and usually gave in. but not anymore! and to deal with all 3 of these situations in one day and never feel like i was going nuts! awesome. it was actually odd to me how easy it was for me, but i've been doing so well lately i just couldnt take the chance to screw shit up. i feel like i've come so far and still have a little ways to go....and the sooner i get there the better!on another note, i've had cereal in my apartment for about 3 weeks now and i have not once eaten it out of the box! i have it for breakfast and sometimes as a snack (i keep two different kinds in the cabinet) and every time i've measured it to 1 cup and put it in a bowl. once again, i'm so proud to have broken that old, bad habit of sticking my hands in there and just eating out of the box until i feel sick or guilty. its nice to be able to have cereal again. i also bought a box of crackers the other day. however, i did these a little differently. 15 crackers is one serving of 130 cals. so i took the time to fill up little snack baggies with 15 crackers each until the box was empty and then i put all the bags back in the box. this is helpful to me for 2 reasons. the first one is that if i want to take them to go, which is most likely, they're already bagged up and ready to go so i dont have to spend time doing that later. the second is that i basically made my own little single serving bags so i dont have to worry about going back in the box for more later....if i want more i'm gonna have to eat a whole other bag! so far so good on that one too. so now i can have crackers too! i wonder what's gonna be next!

A whole month under your belt! Yay you! Also learning to control trigger foods is such an achievement. I like the idea of pre-empting situations and having set portions ready therefore not making them forbidden etc. You go girlie!
