Day 3

Oddly, these past few days have been very easy in the eating department. I think that since I got that binge out of the way, my mind is back on track. I want to thank you all for your comments, they were very touching. As far as my day counting, I feel for me that its best to start back at 1. I was counting my weeks without bingeing, so since I binged, I broke the streak. I actually feel better starting fresh and if I kept going and was saying tomorrow was going to be my 9 weeks Id feel like Im lying. If it were just an unhealthy eating day, which Ive had plenty lately, that would be different.but this was a full on binge. I have no problem starting over because I know its not going to make things crazy for meand these past two days proved it to me.

How I think of it is that this is my chance to start my journey over and get it right. Its actually kind of like my move here; I wanted my initial move to California to be what Im making my move to LA all about. So now Im going to make my non-bingeing happen the way it should. Just like when they say that when you want to lose weight you need to adapt habits that you can live with for the rest of your life, not restrict yourself to a point that you can do for awhile but then after you lost the weight you cant keep up. I may not have been bingeing during my 8 weeks but something wasnt working for me. I wasnt happy with how my eating routine was so structured and, well, routine. Now I have the chance to start over and do it the way it really should be done and incorporate the habits I want in my life. Eating basically the same foods everyday kept me from bingeing but I think it is also a factor that can eventually lead to one. They say you need to have variety in your diet and now I truly believe that and thats what I intend to do. I cant be scared of new food anymore; I just need to make good decisions.

To grace: I do believe that part of this was because I am alone here and was having a moment of loneliness. Lucky for me, since Ive been here, that was the only time I really felt that way. Im very happy being alone right now; its something I needed, like taking a vacation by yourself. Hopefully by the time I need some friends Ill have them. And Ive totally done that pretending youre ordering for someone else thing too! I used to drive up to the drive-thru window on my phone, haha. Good thing it didnt ring while I was talking.

I feel good, Im starting two new journeys here: my life and my non-bingeing. So far, so good for both. I took my first LA hip hop class yesterday, very good, and I finally got my ass back to the gym. I also made an attempt to go out last night but the two places I wanted to go to were closed for whatever reason. Then, a place I finally found that seemed like it could be a good time had shirtless bartenders, a crap-load of guys, and like 6 girls.gay night! Haha, I didnt stay very long. After that, I decided my mission was over and it was time to go home.better luck next time! Today I ate healthy, went to a class in the afternoon, and kept myself busy with other relaxing and fun activities... and I hope you all found pleasurable things for yourselves today too!

You sound really calm. It sounds to me as though something has just clicked and you have in a way found yourself and it seems to have had a soothing affect on you - does that make sense. I just felt like you were at peace with yourself or something, everything has just fallen into place and you are going to love yourself and treat yourself and body with respect.
I am really proud of you but i think what is better is i think you are proud of yourself

Wow, hip hop! I am seriously impressed! Sounds very full on. Its so hard in a new city, making friends, people can be so closed off but classes are the way to go. That\'s where most people make friends in new places. And I have a book recomendation for you, \'Live alone and Like it\' by Marjorie Hollis. Its hilarious and full of positive thinking and was written in 1936! Its my comfort read when life feels messy.

I love your positive thinking. Despite your blip you have recognised why it may have happened and are moving on with adaptations! I hope to have such positivity (I am working on it!)one day! Good luck with your move - it can only mean exciting new things and places. And hip-hop classes - you rock! xx

I love that you\'re taking this experience as a learning opportunity and not beating yourself up! Changing your whole life essentially (new job, city, people, apartment) can be so hard, so it\'s TOTALLY understandable that you felt out of control and binged. You sound completely in control now though! I\'m so proud of you!! Keep up the great work..you are so inspiring! =)
