i found an apartment!! woohoo! i'm so relieved, especially since i didnt want to have to go back down again to continue my search. 6 hours each way can get a little tiring, especially with no one to talk to. yay!so onto my eating. surprisingly, everything went very well. i ate a normal breakfast before i left my apt and on the way down i had an apple, a luna bar, and a clif bar. then i ate a subway sub (a classic favorite for me), and later another clif bar. on my way up to my friend's house, where i was staying for the night, i got hungry again so i stopped at wendys....but dont freak out! now i know that people are always saying to eat the salads when you go to fast food restaurants but i dont go that route. instead, i like to stick with kid's meals so i got a kids chicken nugget with french fries (a total of 400 cals). so here we go....they included a junior frosty with the meal that i didnt ask for but it was a bitter-sweet surprise. i love frosties, and luckily it was just a little one (160 cals), but i still got a little anxious about what to do. first i said i'd only eat half because i figured i'd be drinking at my friend's house. however, it was really really good, i never eat them, and i had prepared myself for an over 2000 cals cheat day so i said fuck it and ate the whole thing and didnt feel bad about it at all. so after that i was on my way to my friend's and got this sudden urge to go to another fast food restaurant and get something else....bad bad bad! as soon as it came to mind i was like, wow, i cant believe i just thought that. (in case you missed it in an old journal entry of mine, an old bingeing habit i had was hitting up multiple fast food restaurants in a row). i kept telling myself that i can't go back to doing that and i need to fight the urge so its not a habit of mine anymore....and i made it all the way to his house without hitting up another one! the funny thing about the night was that we didnt even drink at my friend's house, we just smoked weed and watched monday night football. so all that worrying about the frosty for nothing! i'm so glad i ate the whole thing!! so the day ended at about 1800 cals so it didnt even end up being a cheat day...means i still have it to use!today was much harder. i was lacking some sleep yesterday but today i was lacking two nights of sleep. i had trouble sleeping at my friend's house and i was outta there by 730 cuz he had to work and i had to get my butt back to LA. being tired, by myself, and away from home is not a good combo for me...but i tried as hard as possible. i had two luna bars during the drive and then i went to a coffee shop once i got there to use my laptop. i got a green tea and was starving by then so i had to get something to eat but there was not a very large selection for me to choose from since i'm so picky. so i got some kind of chocolate chip stick thing that was supposed to be reduced fat, whatever, and enjoyed every bite because i was still allowed a cheat day, since i didnt use it yesterday so if this was the beginning of a cheat day thats ok. the rest of my day included 2 clif bars, an apple, and a stop at mcdonalds....happy meal!!! and thank god mcd's didnt give me any free surprises so i could keep it at 400 cals. interestingly, i got that same go-to-another-one feeling i got yesterday but once again reminded myself why i can't. i'm hoping that if i fight it enough i wont get that urge anymore. when i got home i had an ice cream sandwich and now i'm done eating for the day....at just over 1700 cals! and i still didnt use the cheat day! i'm so glad i ate that whole chocolate chip thing!!so after all the anticipated fear for my eating, and preparing myself for a cheat day, everything worked out perfectly. two things i found helpful were being prepared with the bars and apples during the drive and finding familiar places to eat. i still ate right in my goal calorie range and was able to enjoy some tastey, not so healthy food. i made it through the tiredness, the aloness, the temptation, the triggers. if i can make it through a 6 hour road trip by myself (twice!) then i can do anything!oh, and i cant forget to mention that i've gone 5 weeks without bingeing : )

Fantastic mate, that is great that you are able to resist the urge to eat. I reckon if you resist that urge once at or after a meal it doesn\'t come back again to the next meal. but if you give in and have somethign, you have to fight that urge over and over and over again and then relive it again when you wake up!
You\'re doing really well!!! I\'m especially impressed since you are eating foods that used to trigger you to binge and stopping yourself before it gets out of hand! That\'s amazing. I hope I can do that one day too - to eat just one bowl of cereal and enjoy it would be my goal....
5 weeks - that\'s so cool!!!!! Glad you found an apartment and well done on another challenge conquered. Preparation is key!!!!!
Five weeks! Thats astoundingly impressive! I am so proud of you! And your attitude is just perfect, you are still enjoying your food and its not turning into a deprivation cycle. You really have cracked it long term! Especially as you were tired. Thats my worst time too. How exciting about your new flat! I fantasise about my own flat all the time. What\'s it like?
