Moving On

Two weeks in the new apartment. Doesn't look like the marriage is going to dissolve this time, either. Time will tell. The belief that addresses do not define a family is pretty basic to my personal foundation and was comfortably adopted by all the members of my nuclear family a young adult life-time ago. The festivities surrounding the first arrival of the next generation - my first grandchild - were shared by all without any of the romantic drama between hubby and I casting shadows over the joyous event. Our family bonds are vital to all of us. No financial planning has been capsized. But then, this is not our first separation, either. My husband knew I was a gypsy when he married me 33 years ago. His suburban nature has instinctively resisted it each time I have needed to wander, but he remembers and welcomes me back each time I am called to roam. A few times he even sent me off with loving wishes.
I am now alone with my personal pieces of the drama. It makes it much easier to identify them and recognize take personal responsibility for them while I trust my beloved to do the same.
The isolation continues, as does the certainty that any outside commitment I make will be sabotaged by family evolutions. "Sabotaged?" Problems happen. I consider my availability to deal with them to be a major stress reducer for everybody involved. Still, all the empty hours between family crisis are problematic. My heart still cries to get back to my mid-continental hydrology, but that level of funding remains unavailable.
Small bytes and long chews. I continue surfing the employment potentials while I struggle to get my anxiety attacks under control enough to push myself out the door to explore local opportunities. .
