22 year old with mental problems

Hi I am 22 years old I Have a lot of issues going on right now in my life.  One major issue that I am trying to deal with is my mental problems . I have been in and out of mental hospitals for years now. When I was a freshman in high school I was put into our lady of peace I was there for about 3 weeks. because of an outburst. I have a lot of anger issues as well. Then my  2  year of high school  I ended up back in the hospital because I attacked one of my teachers while in the school parking lot. I then started going to therapy it really did not doing anything for me. I just got worse Then my senor year I was put back into the mental hospital. I missed most of my senior year. I did get to go to graduation but right after graduation In may I had to go back to the hospital I did not get out until September. Then My best friend moved to Ohio It broke my heart I thought i was never going to get better. Then I got a job at Walmart But in 2008 I got fired. I have been having issues ever since I lost my Job. I don't have many friends because of my issues. I just don't know what to do. any advice would be really helpful

Dear Tabby,
Everyone needs some of the same basic things.....to feel safe, to have shelter and food and true acceptance, warmth, appreciation.

You may need certain resources to work through your issues......a therapist or a group, a pastoral counselor.......

Do you have a church? Often, if it is a good place and you feel safe there, there are people and activities you can be a part of.....churches are always looking for volunteers and this might be a way to spend a little of your free time and get to know some people...also food pantries always are looking for some help.....again, a way to get to know people.

Our town library has a lot of programs...sometimes just workshops like one on this coming Tues for making wreaths and garlands but they also have book groups too and once in a while a speaker.....

I wish you good luck and healing.....hugs.....
