well the trip was not as bad as it could have been, but it was hot and muggy !! I myself had a time walking up and down hills as well as my sis.. Both of us have ashtma so with the heat and the hills, it was very hard. We had to make some of the sights short,as just could not walk it. Sis had a nice time and this is what it was about anyways. We went to the casino while up there and sis who never gambles won 40.00. She was tickeled about this. She had 2 accidents up there, but was willing to shower when I suggested cooling off from our walking around. She took her breathing treatments very well, and all in all it was a good trip. Her boyfriend had everyone from the wedding of his daughter over and he cooked chili for everyone,as this is is special thing he does. My sis laughed at everything and had a wonderful time. She loves being with people, so this was up her alley. She now knows that her boyfriends, daughter, got married and only thinks her boyfriend did not go. She did not question it at all. Hubby did well up there, and I tell you, he sure has the patience of a saint when it come to my sis. Today I slept aLOT,as was still tired from our trip..Tomorrow I see the dr again about this dog scratch on my leg. It sure is not getting any better, and it sure causes me to have pain. Of course walking this weekend did not help it at all,but we will see what the dr says tomorrow. So all in all, this weekend was decent, and just seeing my sis happy, made me happy. if anyone could hear her laughing, they would understand how she is.. She loves to be the center of attention, and always has, even before alzheimers... She is no different on this now....except she sometimes laughs at nothing....oh well, I understand that some people get mean and hateful, but since alzheimers she is nice, and happy most all of the time. Alot different then before alzheimers, when she would get mean and hateful, and distroy things...she actually would spit on her grandkids and actually kicked one of her grandkids because she was mad at them..She is peaceful now, and is a nicer person.even with her not knowing alot of things now. Too bad she could not have been this nice before alzheimers. I am just grateful she has no pain.. this is about the only good thing about alzheimers..

Im glad that you had a good time and its great to hear that your sister had such a good time. You are very lucky to have a husband that is so patient and understanding. Please keep me up on what the dr. says about your leg. Glad you got the much needed rest. Take care and know I care. Sorry Im a little behind here on replying to your journal. Im getting ready to go to the attorneys office again and go over papers with him about the guy that hit me head on and all the problems Im having with it. Its almost as bad as going to the drs office.
Hugs.....Julie
