My anxiety level is high again : ( I sure wish that was a magic cure - It seems that I have all the tools necessary to fight this but I can not seem to come ahead. I really need to start getting out of my house, exercising and eating right - I am not sure what would motivate me to do all I should be doing. I have diabetes and am scared to death to go to the doctor for medicine to control my blood levels - I have a fear that he will tell me I am dying : ( This makes no sense because half the time I do wish I was dead so I wouldn't have to suffer anymore. I have soo many projects going on and I can't seem to finish or concetrate on any of them - I wonder if other people have this problem too? I feel that I have reached rock bottom and I don't want to be there anymore. Welll I guess I should stop rambling on and work on getting better! One thing is for sure me writing in my journal does help me, the comments people leave are also very helpful! I am happy the weekend is here and I will have people around to get my mind off my anxiety!

I know what you are saying. Maybe a diabetic med would help though. This runs in both sides of my family. Is your blood sugar usually high? Or maintained through nutrition?
Hi looloo,
I am sure the meds would help but getting me there is the hard part :( My blood sugar is always high - but it would sure help if I would exercise and diet but I don\'t : (
Totally with you on the start something and not finishing it!! It is so frustrating..cannot concentrate on anything for too long. I know what you mean by not going to the doctors. I see my doc every two months..I now have to make appointments after 4 o\'clock so my husband can take me..could you try that? Or could you phone your doctor and explain your situation...Maybe getting your blood sugar level right will make you feel better..my mother has diabetes and she gets very tired with it. I also know what you are saying about the fear he will tell you that you are dying...I have diagnosed myself with heart problems..because of my panic attacks!! and also had myself with cancer of the stomach because I was continually being sick (with anxiety)!! Hope this helps you a bit..sorry for babbling on...that me all the time..except on my bad days when I don\'t want to see anyone. Take Care...lol ;) Beth
Oh kiddo I am so sorry that you\'re in a low peak, but it is just that a low peak. After a low comes a higher peak and it is just around the corner. Hey, I got this cookbook from the library and it has so many wonderful receipes in it I ordered it on Amazon. It is called \"The New Family Cookbook for people with Diabetes\" by the American Diabetes Assoc. Maybe some cookbooks for diabetics will help in the eating area. As far as exercising you can do everything inside the house too. There are many tapes, cd\'s and t.v. shows you can do a workout to. I would like you to start telling yourself that you are worth the effort to start taking care of yourself. If you start exercising and eating right which all can be done inside the house you will start to feel better about who you are and that will make the biggest difference in your life and that of your family. Be positive about taking the first step of your new you. Don\'t overdo it just start out with 3 10min periods of movement. You can do that can\'t you. Come on girl I have faith in you. Get a diabetic cookbook or two so you can find some good receipes for the whole family and take time to do at home exercises. Make the committment to yourself with small baby steps and keep your word to yourself. Anything is better than the road you are currently on in these two areas. Just remember what great accomplishments you have already made in counseling and even getting out as much as you have. I am so proud of you. Now set those little goals for yourself and stick with them. Make sure your goals are something you actually can do and make sure you don\'t let yourself down. Everybody slips up but they get back up and continues on. I know you can do it. Remember to keep smiling because you are alive and have a wonderful family who loves you and you need to remember that when things look bleak. I also think you had better quit talking about dying. Bring that up with your counselor too. It makes me a little scared and angry you have those thoughts. I care remember that....Lorrin
