Christmas day

Had a good day.  Tanya came home.  The hospital told her she had to take ownership of her recovery.  They said she may have pain the rest of her life, that she was probably going to have to go to a pain clinic.  Said she couldn't keep taking all the pain pills she was taking.  They were causing her to stop breathing and she could die.  Well, she came home and her whole attitude is changed.  Her affect is even different.  She spent time working in the kitchen last night.
I cooked dinner yesterday.  We had lima beans, cornbread, mashed potatoes and a spiral ham that friends brought over.  We had a nice dinner and then they gave us gifts.  Mary gave me a cross stitch canvas with a cat looking out a window at a star in the sky.  I don't do cross stitch, but will try.  It was a nice gift anyway.
I bought everyone bath soap in gift boxes.  I know it wasn't much of a gift but wanted everyone to have something.
Today I work 11:30-3:30.  I have some things to pick up for the house and then come home.  I hope to put my bed up tonight and start emptying some boxes.  Moving over Christmastime things go a bit slow. I have Friday and Saturday off so I will be doing some cleaning over at the other apartment.
We bought a garage door opener for me at Sears.  Can't wait to get the garage empty so I can park in there.  There is a lot of snow on my car right now and probably ice on the windshield so I will have to get out there early this morning and clean the windshield and other windows. Also will have to warm it up.
I was getting out of bed this morning and I thought I should leave the covers up so Lucy could get in the bed under the covers.  I am so sad to have lost her.
I'm thinking of starting to look for a kitten.  I think I wouldn't be so sad if I had a little cutie around.  It may be hard to find one this time of year, but we'll see.
I called my ex yesterday looking for Nathan.  Haven't heard back so I guess Nathan is just not calling me.  Oh well, I guess he will call eventually.  I was worried something bad had happened.

I\'m trying to get caught up. Tanya, she has a good point. Pain pills can be more harmful than good. I had an attitude and personality change because of pain pills and muscle relaxers. Did not realize it until I worked my way off them. My husband realized it right away. Now, I used positive thinking and the strength of the Lord to help with the pain. Yes, it\'s hard, but it works.

About Lucy, it takes time!! You\'ll survive.

Praying for all involved.

A kitten might be the thing to do. Look into getting one at the ASPCA. They have been saying not to buy one at Pet Stores. So, adopt one form a shelter. Again, so sorry for your losing your little buddy.
I hope Tanya feels better. Moving around is good for her.
So, you are all moved in? Congrats. Now the fun begins.
