I will take T's advice and stretch before I walk from now on and hopefully that will help my lower back.  I know some of it is because I'm carrying around so much weight.  My feet feel better since I got the Ryka running shoes.  Well, tomorrow is laundry day, have to pack for the trip, pick up books on CD for the trip, pick up Rx's , take Duke to the kennel and clean my room.  I hate coming home to a dirty room or house.  We'll clean up the house too. It's really not bad just need to be vacuumed and dusted and bathrooms cleaned.  I'm leaving Lucy by herself with a big bowl of food and water and let her fend for herself.  I've left her for a few days before and she always been fine so I'm not worried.  If we were going to be gone longer I would put her in a kennel but we are only going for 5 day.  I'll be home on the 24th, leave thursday.  I'll stay in touch with everyone though.  Jean has internet. I read a poem on the boards that some girl wrote and it reminded me of how awful this illness can be.  You can get to a point where you just don't know what life is for and all is hopeless.  I really can't write it, it's something you feel.  Luckiy right now I'm not like that, my meds are controlling the depression to a point.  Im a 4-5 today.

I agree with the stretching. I stretch before and after I exercise whether it is walking or running or weight training. Your shoes are good shoes but make sure they are good for you. Everyone is different and some shoes just dont fit our feet properly even if they feel good. It is important that your stance and posture is good when you are walking and you dont put too much pressure on your back or knees because of your shoes. Stretch very carefully and slowly before exercise in case your muscles are not warmed up enough. Its also good to do some pelvic lifts after exercise. Just gently and slowly. I think you are doing a great job just getting out there and trying. Blessings to you sweetie and have a great time while you are away. Luv and hugs

Like Shelly said go slow with the stretching. And, don\'t bounce while you are stretching. That can cause injuries in itself. Have a great day tomorrow.
