update
Hi everyone,
It's been a difficult week for me. My housemate/landlady and I do not get along. Last Sun I came home from work. It was a long day, I stopped at taco bell and grabbed some dinner. I got home, was taking coat off and said hello to her. She was in the kitchen, which is right next to the front door. She said hello and then got into it with me about her digital meat thermometer. I had used it a few weeks ago when I made a turkey breast. I'd never used one.before. I wanted to use the regular kind, the one you stick in the meat and into the oven. I used to have one,but I think I left it behind when my friend's moved to OR. I asked some neighbors if they had one but they didn't. So I used the digital one. It worked okay, she wanted to know if I'd dropped it, or left it on cause it wasn't working. I went upstairs and put my stuff away and then I went in the basement and watched TV. When she went to bed I checked the thermometer and it was working. Either she got it to work or she put fresh batteries, it takes 2 AAA.
She hasn't said a word to me since. Not that we have any big conversations in any case. She makes me.del very uncomfortable, I reached out to a neighbor in the community to see if I could move in with.them. She lives close by and she said yes. So I think I'll be.moving soon. We'll see. Aside from my housemate' s attitude she has me paying a cleaning fee on top of the rent. She has a cleaning service come in every 3 weeks. She never said she wanted one before I moved in here. She decided at some.point after that she was going to have someone clean the house. She recently switched services, they cost a little more. I can't afford it. I mentioned this a while back and she told me that is my problem and if I can't come up with the money I better find someplace else to live.
I don't sleep well here. Today I had off and tried to take a nap and got a little over and hour when she came home early from work. With the 3 day weekend she must have gotten off early.
So life is still unsettled for me.
