Well,, school started this week. I have a new apartment, which I love. My room mate is a wonderful young woman with whom I really think I will be friends by the end of the year. She doesn't engage in the backstabbing which can so easily happen. I really like her. From a blindness perspective, things are somewhat tricky. A piece of technology I need to make reading my electronic textbooks easier has yet to arrive.  I alsoam dealing with learning my way around a new building, living in an apartment for the first time and a crossing from hell. Think y-shaped, with multiple parking lots, a cul de sac and traffic. Thankfully, we have a possible solution, which for now involves crossing grass, and which has high curbs, but which is much safer than the other option. Thankfully, it's safer, and I won't have to rely on people as much as I thought. Julio has handled the stress much better than usual, and I'd say that the clicker training has been part of that. It's made teaching routes so much easier. So, although there are food distraction issues, guide dog issues are not really  part of thestress I've got. That said, I have been in a lot of pain. It's been really frustrating, and honestly right now I feel like I've taken a whipping physically and emotionally. But, maybe things will get better.
