I think you should track in months. I think it causes a shifting in our expectations of ourselves. I\'ve heard your frustrations with its been 10, 11, 12 weeks shouldn\'t I be feeling better. Well, no because it\'s only been 2 months. Make sense?

Very early on, I used to count the weeks, because time barely crawled along and some moments were just excruciating. To make it week by week was progress, lol!

We tracked in weeks for a while too. I think about two months out, it just seems too much, and you shift to months. That\'s a good shift. Two months isn\'t a long time in this journey.

I\'m looking forward to the first anniversary, because then I\'m hoping maybe I wont\' feel so compelled to track even by months that much, but by years. At least I can hope, can\'t I?

kansas, if you stick with it eventually you won\'t be tracking. It will be only on anniversaries of big events that you mentally mark the time passed.

I tracked weeks in the beginning as well. Just getting through the week was a huge accomplishment. About the 2 month mark I switched to to months. Hang in there!

Another good thing about changing this mindset is you go from recognizing a weekly anniversary to a monthly one. If you keep doing this weekly you would give energy to this \"anniversary\" that no one likes 52 times in a year. When you let yourself deal with it on a monthly basis this day now is thought about 12 times a year.

The goal is to lose count. I know that today is 20 months just because of a message I wrote to someone else. I also seemed to mark the 18 month one because that is a year and a half. But 17 months and 19 months kind of went by unnoticed.

It gets better.
