I can't even begin to put the last month into words.  But, here goes:Since Feb 1, Mom has been expected to die and the facility doctor told us to assemble the family, she had pneumonia, another bout with CHF (28l bs worth) an over-abundance of potassium in her blood and a small stroke along with it all.  She has, amazingly, survived all this and more.  Right now she has been weened from Oxygen therapy and, within the last few days, has been placed back into the physical therapy program called restorative therapy.  What an amazing woman, my mom!!! Due to my pending surgery, I have had to crowd many things into these days.  We have successfuly completed the Medicaid application and are assembling the necessary componets we have to give them.  We have, just in case, completed the pre-planning for her funeral.  I am so tired right now all I want to do is sleep.  But I am hearing some very interesting NEW things about what they can do with the neck surgery.  I am almost excited to hear what this doctor has to tell me on Monday.
