So far, today is a great day.  Yesterday we actually got to talk with both sons, our daughter-in-law and one of the 3 little ones there.  Today we received a call from our daughter in PA.  It all sums up to making this beautiful, breezy fall day more beautiful.  All this is great for the morale.Unfortunately, yesterday was not so good with Mom.  She was off on a tangent again and actually told me that she doesn't believe the things I am telling her. (wow! that is real news since she calls everyone else to verify what I say and tells them different accountings of what I have said.)  But I am not going to let her reduce me to arguing with her.  I simply put the telephone on my desk and only when her voice calms or she calls my name do I pick it up again.  It is so sad that, in our old age, we are reduced to these types of personalities.  I have been reading lots of scripture lately that refer to some to the ways God calls us to accounting while we are yet among the living.  I just wish Mom would listen to Him instead of hollering at Him to take her home.  She says she does not hear Him speak to her and only reads those little devotional books for her study of His word.  Oh the human nature is so obstinate when it comes to the study of God & His word.Also had a call from one of our nieces last night.  She is having a very difficult time with her 16 year old daughter.  I can't go into the details here, but we both cried together.  This is a very difficult and fragile time for them both. Please pray for them.The rest of today I will be out paying several bills of ours & Moms.  That includes the over-priced kerosene that we just had to pay to be able to keep warm this year.  It was, last week, priced at $3.09/gal.  For those of you reading this. please help in the protest against the petroleum world and their gouging of all of us.  Oil has an effect on every part of our lives.  Gas takes us to our jobs and everywhere else we go. Diesel is what is used to deliver our food to the stores as well as anything else that is related to retail and delivery.  It is also used, in most cases, to deliver our children to school & back home.  During the aftermath of Katrina, the Federal Government developed a web site to report the over pricing that was and still is going on today.  It is run by the doe (Dept. of Energy).  Please avail yourselves of this site and help bring the gas and diesel prices back to something realistic.  http://gaswatch.energy.gov  I go into it at least once per week and report every gas station that is priced higher than the cheapest.  If we all work together, perhaps we will again see prices of less that $2.00/gal.  Thanks
