Today Mom stripped her bed and put the linens in the machine about an hour before I called. She was waiting for them to dry. Other than that, all she did was sit outside and watch the man we hired do her yard work. Mom said she was so exhausted that she only wanted to spend the rest of the day in bed. I told her that maybe that was a good idea.Well, had a real long talk with my sister after that. I told her that it is my belief that Mom's health & weakness have gotten to the point that she needs to be where someone can be of assistance 24/7. I really think her health has gotten to the point where it would take both of us to care for her and my sister is over 900 miles away. Don't know if sis has yet fully comprehended this or not.It is sad to watch those we love go downhill. My cousin calls it "dying by the inch." That is what we are watching. :-(

Yeah, it is VERY SAD. So many adjustments. I think you\'re right about the 24/7 assistance...and company, as well. You can\'t do anything to stop that downhill slide, but you can make it bearable for the slider, and for you as the observer.
