Yesterday our sitter told us that she can't work anymore. Her son has to be picked up from school in the middle of her shift & her babysitter can not take care of this for her.  Sooooo - she tried to talk Mom into changing her hours to 10 AM - 2 PM.  Right back where we started with the previous one.  Always trying to change hours and days.  Seems like none of them want to work in a responsible way.  Always what is convenient instead of what is required of the job.  I get so tired of this.  It just makes everything harder.  We get Mom used to someone and then "other things" come up so we have to make changes.  This simply is not good for people who are suffering from memory problems.  They need familiarity and schedules just to keep them on track.  Oh well, I just spoke with the Agency from where she came and they are now looking for someone to replace her.As for Mom - we spoke about this earlier and she doesn't remember what I said to her.  The sitter also told her this yesterday and Mom keeps asking "Are you sure that is what she (the sitter) said?"  She claims also that she had a very bad day yesterday and had difficulty answering some of the questions that the Health Care workers asked of her.  Guess since she won't take any of the medications to help her memory, we will just have to watch her go slowly down hill.

Hi and thank you for your info regarding my hubby\'s condition. Just read your entry, and these caregivers tell us our loved ones we care for need schedules and all. Then they don\'t want to help, but rather add to the confusion. There ought to be a law! Many hugs, Ann
