It was a most interesting w/e. Saturday I tried several times to call Mom, but got no answer. This is normal because she either goes outside to sit, or takes her hearing aid out. Finally I reached her @ 3:00. She sounded terrible. She said all she wanted to do was sit in her chair & sleep. So I ran over there. She had been outside and maybe the heat got to her, but I suspect it was the end of another TIA. She couldn't connect w/ the end of her nose, nor hold her hands straight. I did a "follow my finger" thingy and that was good except going to the nose. Her b/p & pulse were good so we sat & chatted. About a half hour later she was much better. On Sunday at 6:30 AM we received a call from Hospice saying that Mom's LifeLine button had been pushed and they could not get any answer on her telephone. My DH & I got up, dressed and were there 15 minutes later. Mom was in bed & we surprised her when we walked into her room. She said all kinds of strange things had been happening since around 5 AM. The Hospice nurse arrived about 30 mins after we did. She did a check and said everything seemed OK. However, we did find that Mom's garage door had been tampered with and called the Sheriff and had a deputy do an inspection. We are calling garage door companies today. We returned home around 10:30 AM and went back to sleep for a while. When we got up, we took KFC dinners over to Mom and had supper w/ her. WHEW!!!
