Ribs

After all I have done to try to bounce back from almost a year of surgeries and hospital stays I have now bruised my left ribs and I hurt really bad. My Dr.said that it will take about 6 weeks to heal and that he is going to have a radiologist look at the x-rays to make sure he isn't  missing anything. I don't know what to do about the pain. Tylenol doesn't seem to help.
My youngest daughter and kids are at Disney world this week and my other daughter and her son are going in two weeks. I hate it when they go because I get lonely. My brother told me that he would get my siblings to chip in and get me on a cruise and that all I would have to do is pick one. I would like to go on a Disney one and take the grand kids. I'm not sure that is what I want to do anyway, but I would like to get out and spend time away from home.
I see my surgeon on Tuesday and I think he will take out my feeding tube which is the last thing attached to me. My dad is concerned about my pain in my ribs because last time I had pain in my right side I ended up with a really bad infection. I get my blood tested on Monday and hopefully it will tell if there is a problem or not. My dad and I plan on going out to lunch with my sister on Tuesday after my appointment which will be great because I don't see much of her. She is making me some kind of oils to put on all of my scars to help them look better. I hope it works because I have a lot of ugly ones.
Better go for now...

Good luck on the ribs. Bet you\'ll feel better with the tubes taken out. Sounds like progress with a little bump in the road. Hang in there.

You really don\'t need this additional pain. If it really hurts, ask for an analgesic patch to help you in the short run (fentanyl is a great pain medication and it comes in patches).
