Hi

hi greetings from UTAH. i havent written for awhile so i will catch you up a little. My sons significent other was put in a psyc ward for drinking and taking pain pills. sounds like she will be out in time to share thanksgiving.
my bird took a tumble and i thought she broke her wing and  foot and choked paying the $97.00 bill. she means everything to me so i had to find a way to pay to take her in..the good news is that nothing is broken.
i was walking down my hallway and i lost my balance and tripped over the vacuum and fell full body not wanting to damage my knees again.
I might have told you this already...my daughter tells me things that i don't remember the conversation at all the next day. so i am really loosing it.
i saw mike (my therapist) and talked about bi-polar issues. i want to know more about so i know what to expect long term with this disease. while we were talking i told him i see a shadow in the apartment...little girl about 6. nattie would have been 6 this year so i don't know if it is her way to let me know that she is with me always. he told me to keep track of how many times i see her but so far he is calling it grief from her death and the way she died.
i also told him about her ball, it is one that if you push a pcture of a dog it will bark, etc.the  few days after nattie died the ball would play in the middle of the night and i would go in and go to turn it off and it was off. this happened for a few days and i went in one night and said nattie i am ok but i miss you.
the next morning the ball was in the midddle of the room, it had been put down off of the shelf playing again. it is scary to know that one could be schizo. i have read the information about it and find little to none that i fall into.
i think my mother really is. she talks to people that are  not there, has a ghost that pushes her down the stairs. she says she caught on fire once and that the missionaries were over and she said elders i'm on fire and when they walked into the kitchen her clothes weren't burnt...that is just a few of her mental state.
so, if anyone knows much about bi-polar tell me what you know. i have bought some books about it but can't concentrate long enough to read them. i am finding it easier to read on my tablet. any short info would be appreciated.....hugs to all good night

I am sorry that you have bi-polar disorder. The one thing I have to say is that you need to stay on the medication, no matter how crappy you feel. You will not feel \"right\" with the medications. The brain, in it\'s chemical imbalance, loves it! So, you have to be better than your own brain to assure that you stay on the meds and just see the doctor when the going gets too rought. There are all kinds of bi-polar people just like there are people in the world. None are absolutely the same and each has his/her own quirks. You just need to learn what yours are and how they manifest so that you can try better to keep some control of the huge sweeps in feelings that you will go through: the high highs and the low lows. You also need to know that when you have a high high, you need to not make any decisions as, usually, they can be more destructive than not. Spending money when feeling \"up\" will lead to financial problems that will contribute to you low lows! This is tough to manage and it takes a lot to do it. You are in my thoughts. Hugs and care, Neesie
