if it helps i have insurance through Hartford. it is the long term ins. that we go onto when we aren't able to work. i have been forced into taking a year off work so this insurance kicked in on jan. 1 i don't know what it means when you hit your out of pocket expense. i am hoping if i can get the ins. to pay for it, i will talk my dr. into a knee replacement, instead of scoping it over and over. this is the 4th one in 3 years. i think i will pay as much for the scopes in the long run as i would pay to just get it over with.

The way my insurance works is if you hit your out of pocket expense, then it will be paid for in full, but every insurance is differnt. My mom had knee replacement 5 yrs ago. best thing she ever did....

insurance does suck! but i woudl get the surgery if i were you. my gma got it and she does so so much better! best of luck to you!
