Today is a little bit better then yesterday. Today the doctor asked me about going out of work on disability. I told her that my surgeon already wrote me off until further notice. My body is not responding back as well and its been four weeks since surgery. I really want to get back to work, but I know in my head I can not physically do it right now. I have to take care of myself and worry about that later, after all I almost died in surgery so I need to be thankful for that.

always put you health first. there is always time for work and not enough for rest. so rest up!!!!
You don\'t sound like you are anywhere near being able to work. I went through that with whether or not to go back after a hospital stay. I was given ample time based on when I was ready to return. That was 2004. I haven\'t returned yet. I have been waiting to for an SSDI hearing. Once you have been away from work a long time, say 6 months, you forget all about it. Right after you go out, you think about what your missing, and who\'s taking your spot, and what will they think about me. You forget all about that, and your new life becomes what it is. Not working. You find different time schedules, you may stay up later than you used to. You find out how less crowded the grocery store is at 10:00 on a Tuesday. You can make all your kid\'s plays. It is not so bad. When I am better I will work again. For right now, it is a full time job being a sick person. I manage 15 prescriptions, two doctors and whatever tests they order. It keeps me busy, but my quality of life is so much better by not having to work. Just my thoughts. Cheryl
