At the age of twelve a fire cracker exploded about 12" from my right ear and all I heard was a ringing sound for I don't no how long. I don't recall if the ringing ever went away of if I became accustom to the ringing. That was 50 years ago and at age 49 is when I became aware of the ringing once again. I experienced renal failure and was almost placed on dialysis. Only through the grace of God did I recover from that experience with out any serious kidney treatment. The ringing came back at that time and has not left since then. 
It is more intense than it has ever been and causing some very uncomfortable adverse affects. I become irritated more frequently and easily anymore. I am finding it More and more difficult to concentrate lately. Sleep is affected plus I have other health conditions also. (Diabetes, high cholesterol, hypertension). I may have sleep apnea too. Will be going for testing soon. I do find some joy in some of the little things I do. I Oversee a Drug and alcohol Out Patient Program and manage staff though sometimes it is hard to tell which is the client. In spite of all that is going on in and with my life I do find some joy in the blessings God bestows on me and my family. I remember what God told the apostle Paul when he asked three times to have the thorn in his side removed, God told him that His grace is sufficient. I guess that applies to me also, I am no different than Paul. Shalom
