Update

If you want something that will take your mind off your asthma, have someone tell you that you need to have minor brain surgery. Actually it's just for the insertion of a shunt but it still involves messing with my head. I was so distracted by this that I didn't realize how noisy my breathing had become. I was leaving the health center at the time and one of the staff followed me to the elevator and said "So you're the one I've heard all the way down the hall. You need to use your inhalor." It's actually getting a little disturbing. This is three times that I haven't been able to notice when I need to use my rescue inhaler.  Three times that I know about only because I was at some medical facility.  Who knows how often I may have needed to and not been aware of it? It's amazing what you can become used to. I talked to my pulm and he said that I need to change my nebulizer/inhaler use from every 4-6 hours as neeeded to every 4 hours ..period. My control needs a little help. I have to call a neurosurgeon to schedule the surgery. It will probably be awhile. These guys are usually pretty busy. I'll know more later. That's it for now.Tom
