I'm scheduled for the lumbar puncture on Wednesday, or as the paperwork calls it, the NUC Cisternogram. If I respond as they think and if the labs go as expected, then the neuro doc will have surgery scheduled for the shunt.  I know this is a positive thing but I can't help but think that it would make a good script for Monty Python.It might go something like this.Man on the street reporter: "Excuse me sir, would you be interested in participating in a little test?'Man: "Well now, I dunno. What kind of test?Reporter: "A Nuc Cisternogram."Man: "A what?"Reporter: "Let me explain, what we plan to do is jab you in the spine with a needle and extract some fluid!"Man: "Push off mate. I need all me fluids. Why would anyone want to do that?"Reporter: " Did I metion that there's a prize?"Man: "A prize? What kind of prize?"Reporter: "Well, I'm not making any promises, but if you qualify we will be able to drill a hole in your head."Man: "A hole in me head? You'd do that?"Reporter: " Yes...but only if you qualify."Man: " Oh well, that's all right then.
