Update
I saw the neurologist today. She is very nice and seems quite qualified. She put me through a lot of reflex and balance tests. I thought that for some of them I needed a choreographer...or at least an Arthur Murray dance instructor. (You say that you never heard of Arthur Murray? I say ...shut up... Really!.. You can't trust any one that is younger than my shoes!) In any event, I wasn't completely successful in following her instructions. I mean I could put my right hand in and take my right hand out and put my right hand in and then shake it all about..but I had a little trouble with doing the hokey pokey and turning myself around. Since she does think that I have some neuro issues, I now have a new prescription to help control the tremors and I have to get an MRI. She also asked if I used a cane (Rona, you are in trouble) I said no and she didn't pursue it. I could see that she was thinking about it though. If my MRI supports her assessment I suspect that she'll want me to get one. Goody! In closing I will once again quote the immortal Porky Pig."Th..th..th..that's all Folks!" Be well,Tom

Gee Tom, you keep finding all these nice ladies to look you over and help you out. I seem to get all the grumpy ones - or is it just me?
When I had foot surgery a couple years ago, I used a cane for awhile. I actually liked it. You can get a really cool one too. I like the carved wooden ones. Or maybe one with flames...
I\'m sure the MRI will show that you have nothing up there :)

I\'m tearing up I\'m laughing so hard! ROFLOL! Only you would come up with the hokey poke during a neuro appt., Tom!! Too funny.
I had an MRI done to check my lower back, and it was nice. They put a warm fuzzy blanket on you, shove you into a tube and tell you not to move. I wasn\'t going to complain about that! If it hadn\'t been for the obnoxious banging and clunking I would have fallen asleep. Oh well, you can\'t have everything. I hope yours goes well, too.
I think you need one of those wooden, twisted canes, to match your warped sense of humor!! :-)
Take care,
Michelle
Tom, my friend, it is all about fall prevention. I think the other thing it\'s all about is the results of your MRI. Hopefully is will rule out the serious stuff and then she\'ll send you to therapy to get you doing the hokey pokey and you WILL turn yourself around! Don\'t hit me with that cane though, okay?!
