Good day
Today has been pretty good. I still tire easily but the weekends in the fall are made for armchairs anyway. It's great. The weather is cooler, the baseball season is heading for the final drive to the playoofs, and college and pro football is in full swing. I's a sports fan's dream..and I'm a sports fan. I have to get out daily to check my blood pressure and pulse rate at one of the local stores. (several of them have the blood pressure machines available). I could buy one and check at home, but then I would lose my excuse to leave the house. These brief trips keep me from getting cabin fever. The only downside is that I have to park really close otherwise I begin to cough and then everyone panics. I prefer to travel incognito. My PCP thinks, and I agree, that because of the elevated pulse rate, I have to work harder to do routine things, which causes me to have an asthma flare because of the extra strain, which causes the pulse rate to race even more which..etc, etc. It's a vicious circle. But on the higher dosage of the cardizem, my pulse rate has been under 100 three of the last four days. Maybe as I get more of this drug in my system I may return to having good control. In any event , the last few readings have been encouraging. Perhaps my problems will improve so much that I can give back that handicapped plaque . Oh well, it's handy just now so I guess I'll keep it. I guess I'll wrap things up. I'm feeling pretty good as long as I don't push it. Be well,Tom
