Over the weekend my wife and I went to a local Italian restaurant where we were giving a going away dinner for a couple who are old friends of ours. We invited all of their other friends to join us. The turn out was pretty good and we wound up with 10 people in the dinner party.  Unfortunately the restaurant was very crowded and, even with reservations, we had a long wait. One fellow in our party, who is approaching 80, was loud and abusive to the staff and every one in earshot about the wait. He finally settled down when we were seated.  Now, no one was really happy about the wait but being rude to the staff is just not appropriate. He announced that he and his wife are also moving soon but somehow I don't feel any inclination to give him a going away party  (Look out Arkansas, the Mouth of the Midwest is heading your way!). Once the food came we all enjoyed the evening, so I guess all's well that ends well.  I am feeling pretty good today. I am also down to my last 2 days of pred which makes me feel even better. I hope this round is the last for quite awhile. Three times this year is quite enough, thank you very much.   I received a summons for jury duty but I won't be able to serve. I am not yet up to being in a jury room or courtroom for long periods of time with a lot of people. My pulmonologist is writing a medical excuse for the court. It's just as well. Since I was in law enforcement for over 25 years I would never be picked for a jury anyway. I guess I'll wrap it up, there really isn't much going on. Tom
