Yesterday I was a bit run down and ws just slumped in my easy chair, resolved not to move much. By now,I should know better than to make resolutions. It seemed no sooner had I come to this sensible plan of inaction, that my phone rang. It was my darling daughter and it seems as if her car had been inconsiderate enough to run out of gas on her.  Once again, it was Dad to the rescue. I got directions to her location, made sure that I had a gas can in my car, and headed out. I picked her up and we headed for the nearest gas station. While I was filling the gas can, the heat, humidity and gas fumes were just too much. I had to get back into my car in the a/c and sit. My daughter had to fill the can herself and then had to empty it into her car herself. She did this successfully despite being a little unhappy about the "gassy" smell on her hands. She then was able to fill her gas tank.  Maybe my asthma is God's way of making my offspring more self reliant. They don't see it that way but I think it's one of the few positives of my situation.  Once again I reminded my daughter that there is a gas gauge in her car and a low fuel warning light. I tried to emphasize that it's not just there for mood lighting. However I believe the "gassy" hands brought the lesson home more than 10 of my ignored lectures. Today I am feeling OK but shaky. Since I've already taken my pred today, that means I have just 8 more days to be on it.  I will try to chill out but I resolve nothing. No point to it...my family keeps things hopping. Be well,Tom
