11/11/2007It's great weather around here today. My wife and I are going out for Sunday brunch. While waiting for my wife to get ready(Maybe this will turn into Sunday dinner) I looked at an article in the AARP bulletin . . The article was titled "They died waiting" Lost in Social Security Hell. It was about people who waited years for their disability hearings and died before the hearing was held. Some of the people who were initially denied and died waiting for a hearing were in terrible shape. How they were denied is a mystery. One poor lady in the article was a dental assistant who had to quit after 20 years due to uncontrolled seizures. She was denied disability and ,though she is still alive, she lost everything and is living in a shelter. It's a sad situation. Thank goodness government jobs have pensions.Other than that I'm feeling OK. So I think I'll check on my wife's status. Perhaps I should clarify to her that I meant this Sunday.  So while my blood sugar plummets I hope all a great day.Be well,Tom

Sounds like time for a sip of orange juice!

As far as these people dying waiting for the disability claim to be approved...let\'s all say a prayer for you, Tom. we don\'t want this happening to you!
