10/20/2007Hmm, I had an interesting new development this morning. When I stood up while getting out of a chair, I had a bit of light headedness. I thought ,"this is nothing new , it happens all the time when I change position suddenly.". I wasn't too concerned but when I was going upstairs I lost my equilibrium and almost fell. Then in the bedroom, I did fall. Fortunately it was on the bed. It was weird...I fell in slow motion. I started to lean to the right, tried to focus but still I wound up on the bed. I fell ever so slowly and I tried to adjust my balance but no luck. I remained a little dizzy and just stayed on the bed for a bit. I finally got up and made it back downstairs but I don't trust my balance just yet.Maybe I have an ear infection but I don't have a fever. I don't know what's going on. It could be anything or nothing. Things are oK while I'm still. It'll probably go away but, if not, it's something else to get checked out.(Big sigh!) I don't feel bad but my sense of balance is suspect. I guess I'll have to cancel my appearance on "Dancing with the Stars". Too bad, my fans will be so disappointed.Be well,Tom

The mystery is solved. I began exhibiting symptoms of a cold and my right ear hurts. While not usually good news, this is a relief. At least it\'s not something I haven\'t run into before. The earlier lack of fever and ear pain had me puzzled. Now that they have emerged, I\'m back on familiar territory.
Be well,
Tom
