9/15/2007Fall has arrived ...big time. I can't believe that I was gasping in 100 degree plus heat just two weeks ago. It is a welcome change. It's much easier to breathe I'm watching our local major league baseball club on TV. They have been on a terrible losing streak recently...9 games. Ouch! Tonight they have come back from a 3 run deficit and currently lead 4-3. Maybe they will hold on and actually win a game. Oh well, I can't complain. They did win the World Series last year so I can't be too unhappy. My poor old Cardinals are really beat up this year(maybe that's why I identify with them) so I'll give them a pass.My experiment with the new blood pressure med is off to a slow start. I'm charting my BP daily(as instructed) and my bp is still a little high and my pulse rate is still elevated. I'll keep at it and hope the situation improves. I return to my PCP in a couple of weeks to check on the new med's effectiveness. If the situation doesn't improve in the next week I'll give him a call. Other than that, I feel pretty good. I hope you all do too.Be well,Tom

I am glad to hear that your breathing is better. I think I would have suffocated in the heat like that...don\'t know how you did it. Are summers typically the most difficult time for you? Here in CA the highs went into the mid to high 80s at the hottest and I had more difficulty then as compared to the mid 70s. I can\'t imagine triple digits...I better stay put, huh?
