8/30/2007I saw my PCP today and I seem to be tolerating the change in blood pressure meds quite well. I left his office feeling pretty good about things. BP is well controlled, weather is great and the air quality is good. At home my good fortune continued. My daughter has a job interview tomorrow. I really hope that she gets hired. She has been frustrated being without a job and has been hard to get along with. If she's hired she'll feel much better about things...and so will I.About the only downer for the day came when I heard from the asthma specialist's office. His nurse called with the lab results of my recent blood tests. She said that the tests showed a problem with kidney function. I have already known that I have had a mild kidney impairment for years due to high blood pressure so I'm hoping that's all this is. At any rate they are calling my PCP and faxing him the results so we shall see...It's always something.Who knows, maybe this kidney thing could explain why I always feel so dragged out lately. Probably not, though. I still think it was the oppressive heat and the poor air quality. Well, summer's almost over so breathing should be easier...at least until winter. (Ain't asthma fun?) Hey, at least my BP is well controlled and it is much cooler around here so I'll end on that high note.Be well, tom
