8/29/2007I attended a meeting for retirees to discuss the changes in health care coverage. they offered many different plans for the coming year and I found one that suited my situation well. It still costs more but not as much as I thought. I'm glad I attended. I left feeling a little more confident. I also saw  a couple of retired female officers with whom I had worked for many years. (Don't know where the men were) It was great seeing them again and rehashing old times and telling old "war" stories. (to hear them tell it, I was a wild young man...I think that they exagerate...besides being a little wild was an asset in that environment) the air quality today was orange which is unhealthy...particularly for people with breathing problems. I also have problems when I'm in a crowded room for a period of time. today was a "double whammy  for me and I had to intiate my action plan. My asthma really kicked up by the time I had gotten back home. After several nebulizer treatments and resting, things settled back down ,but it was a little tough for awhile.My wife had new windows put in upstairs. Now I have to  reattach all the brackets for the blinds and curtains and then rehang them. Busy, busy.  I may have to get a job in order to get some rest. Since I've retired Julie thinks I'm a wonderful source of labor. (Wives make tough bosses....they can guilt you into anything. I say it's an unfair labor practice! I may report it!.. It wouldn't do any good though. the Secretary of Labor's wife would keep him in line. Bah, it's a conspiracy!)I am feeling better now. I'm just a bit tired so I'll end this.Be well,tom
