8/21/07I just received a packet for medical insurance coverage for county retirees today. It listed the various plans and the costs. My coverage has gone up by $140 a month. Whew! that's a bite. It's expensive but what can you do?I've been feeling much better today. My household is peaceful and I was able to get some things done. First on my list was getting my son Robert's car licensed. His plates had expired and his job has him working long hours recently so I let him use my car and I took his. I had to get it inspected for safety and then take it to another site to have it's emissions checked. His car failed the safety check because of worn tires. Because of that, I spent an hour and a half at the Firestone tire Center while they replaced all 4 tires. (Not Cheap. $400. Ouch! Robert's paying but still...)I then took the car back to the Inspection Site for a reinspection. It passed. then I had to go to the DMV where I was finally able to get his license plates updated. It was a full day. Normally I would have let Rob attend to his own car but, like I said, he's been working very hard lately so I didn't mind helping him out a bit. Heck, I was happy that he had the money. All is calm on the old homefront again. Stress levels are down and I have had no problems with my asthma. (Maybe Julie remembered that my life insurance isn't all that much. Never be worth more dead than alive is what I say!) At any rate Julie and my daughter are sort of getting along today. Hope it lasts. All in all, not a bad day.Be well, tom
