8/20/2007Retirement may be rougher than I thought. Julie's internship is over and she's around the house all day. At least until her next class, internship or whatever. It can't come too soon. She has been on her muscle all day. She is mad at the kids but they're not home so she focuses her frustration on me. If I defend them even a little she lets me have it with both barrels. She threatens to move out again. (She has been threatening to move out for over thirty years...who knows, someday she may. I have to say that she is the most hot tempered chaplain that i've ever met!)Ahh, I don't want to Julie bash. My retirement earlier than I planned has put an extra burden on her. I can't do as much as I used to.I'm sure it really stresses her....and the kids are doing things that really tick her off. My mistake is trying to say that it's their lives and their decisions...I can't help it. My sense of fair play and inability to keep my mouth shut make me vulnerable to the wrath of Julie. That's OK. I'm used to it. .Asthma has just made it a little more difficult. Now when I get stressed and angry I start to cough and have difficulty talking I'm going to have to get a clip board to write out my responses while using my nebulizer!...better yet I'll try to stay out of her way when she's like this. I hear the library's air conditioned.Trying to keep my head low,Tom

It\'s tough when things are not going smoothly at home. I puts a strain on everyone. I know how Julie feels about the kids. Beeb ther, done that. When Andrew and I are at odds over kids I get more angry at them. Your asthma is here to stay and stress is major trigger. HUG
