8/16/2007Another day...another doctor. Monday my new asthma doctor said I needed to change my blood pressure medication because he felt that was one of the causes of my coughing. He said I needed to ask my PCP about it. Dutfully I called the PCP's offfice and told his nurse what the asthma doc had said. Now I have to go see my PCP today. In all honesty, I'm a little nervous about changing my meds. It took a while to find the right combination and my altace and labetalol control my BP very well. I'm not going to change them unless the new meds are just as effective. I'd rather cough than stroke out! I'll see what my PCP thinks. I'll be happy when he is the only doctor I go to again. All these doctors have different ideas and sometimes they do not agree with each other. It can be confusing and frustrating. Oh well, since this asthma doctor is some kind of big shot I probably won't see him long. He'll make his determination and send me back to my pulmonologist. At some point my pulmonologist may think that he has things stabilized and send me back to my PCP. (One can only hope!) Wow, just one doctor. I won't know what to do with myself.I'm eagerly awaiting this weekend. the temperatures are supposed to fall back into the 80's. After weeks of this oppressive heat that will be a very welcome change. yesterday the temp rose to 105 degrees. Unbelievable. I can't do anything in this heat. I went to Radio Shack yesterday for some electronic part and just walking through the parking lot to the store caused me a lot of trouble. I sure hope my a/c holds up. It's getting a real work out this year.I am now anxiously awaiting the weekend with the cooler temps. At last I'll be reprieved. Is the world ready ?Ready or not, here I come.Be well, tom

I haven\'t changed my opinion about doctors. I wish you didn\'t have to spend so much of your time with them. Yesterday was bad. I spent the day going from freezing in the ac to blast furnace parking lots. I bout lost it.
