Hurray, the streak is broken. It wasn't 100 degrees out today. It topped off at a chilly 96. But don't break out the jackets just yet. We are supposed to creep back up to three digits on Sunday....
I'm scheduled to go to the Lung Center on Monday. I would just as soon not but my pulmonologist thinks it's a good idea. (Sigh) More testing...ugh!! Oh well, once more into the breach!!
Besides they must really need the business. I have been called twice this week to remind me of my appointment. I guess I'll go. It would be a shame if the doctors would have to cancel their memberships at the country club because of me. think of the repercussions that might cause. Caddies laid off...golf equipment manufacturers cutting production...laid off workers cutting back on major purchases, resulting in more layoffs in the housing and automotive industries..resulting in more laid off workers...etc..etc..ad infinitum. For the economic well being of the country I will be there!!

Julie and I went to the movies tonight. We saw "the Bourne Ultimatum" I even took out a second mortgage on the house(just kidding...sort of) to buy some popcorn and drinks.the movis was pretty good but the storyline was a little weak...lots of action though.(Bourne's one tough cookie!)Being male I liked it a lot.
time for bed.

The last movie I saw in a theater was The Color Purple. After much coaxing and nagging, Andrew took me. He said never again. He hated the movie and it was a very long one. He went out for cigarette breaks every time they changed the subject.
Have you ever known a doctor struggling with money like us common folk? I haven\'t. They complain about student loans and the cost of malpractice insurance while they\'re at their summer home in the mountains. Hope you get a good report.
that just shows that men should select the movie. I offer as evidence the following...back when we were dating Julie liked foreign films with subtitles...one memorable turkey was \"Cesar and Rosalie\" it was French and it was about Rosalie\'s relationship with her two lovers with an ending that was no ending, just three unlikeable losers continuing in their destruct5ive behaviors..yuck!...however the all time worst was a major studio production called \"Lady Caroline Lamb\" starring(?) Sarah Miles.She played a married English aristocat who is madly in love with the English poet,Lord Byron. He has a fling with her but despises her. She then endures all manner of humiliation and debases herself to please him.(that was tough to watch)this only causes him to finally drop her in disgust and she dies of a broken heart. I don\'t smoke but I might have taken it up to escape that film. (I missed \"Dirty Harry\" for this?)...another tough one to sit through was \"Reds\" with Warren Beatty. Compounding it\'s interminably slow pace was the length of this epic flop. (It had an intermission for gosh sakes!)I literally fell asleep on it. Small mercy!
About this time I was having second thoughts about dating an English major. Fortunately Julie didn\'t like these movies either and we started to see more mainstream movies. the rest,as they say, is history.
