the heat is maintaining a strangle hold on these parts and on much of the nation as far as I can tell. We are supposed to top the century mark, temperature wise, for the rest of the work week. Relief comes this weekend when the temp will plunge to only 94. Air quality?...forget about it. I guess I won't be doing too much outside for the next week or so.
At least I got out last night. Julie and I went to the Muny, an outdoor theater in Forest Park which specializes in musicals. We saw "Joseph and the amazing technicolor dreamcoat". the production was great. It's a lively musical and a lot of fun. the two lead performers were simply remarkable. As usual the crowd caused me a little problem with my breathing but by using my inhaler I was able to stay. It was worth it.
Next week we are going to see the last production of the summer at the Muny. they are performing "Les Miserables". I have never seen the musical version of this classic so I will be very interested in how they pull it off. From all that I have heard, it's supposed to be great.
...I'm a little bored because of being house bound. But if I go outside during daylight hours, the heat and bad air hit me like a ton of bricks... so inside I'll stay...for now. I hope everyone is doing great and staying cool.
I'm just patiently waiting for a Canadian Clipper to head south.
