7/22/2007Oh well, the best laid plans....Somehow I wound up going out with the girls anyway. We took Julie's  friend out to lunch and a movie. I did not hate it as much as I thought. the food was pretty good and the ladies actually included me in the conversation with just a minimal amount of male bashing. Since her friend is divorced, I expected much more attacks on my gender. I lucked out...she spent most of the meal bashing her former mother in law. (I did think that it's been 20 years ...let it go, already).that's the best lesson that I learned, letting slights and grievances go. When I was young I used to carry a grudge a long time. I finally figured out what a monumental waste of time that was. I have better things to do. (Except for maybe JW ..he pushed me down in the 5th grade. But that's OK . I'm past it...yea, I'm waaay past it....no problemo....Ahhh, who am I kidding....JW you had better watch your back!!)One good thing is that I didn't miss the ball game. It turns out that it's a night game. the old Cardinals are a little beat up and aren't playing real well this year but they're still the Cardinals...and none of them have mother in law issues that I know of.  So ice the beer and "Play Ball".Be well, tom

Your a loveing soul Tom, for spending the day with the girls. And yes, we know you really did enjoy it. Its hard to pass up mother-in-law bashing, I could have joined in out that conversation real easy....
Glad you got to watch the game. And the cold beer sounds rather refreshing. Take care, have a good evening !
