7/11/2007Hmm, 7/11. Sounds like a lucky day...and the day pretty much lived up to my expectation. the weather was simply great and I was able to do some things outside. (I get a little antsy if I'm house bound too long.)I filed at the local office of SSA for disability. Even this local bastion of bureaucracy was remarkably pleasant. Not surprisingly the waiting room was jammed and I was becoming a little uncomfortable. I had to step out into the foyer for air but the security guard called me when my name was called. Another pleasant surprise was that I was called in promptly at my appointment time.  All in all I was impressed by their efficiency. Our high speed internet service was out for the last day or so due to storms in our area. It is amazing how much I have come to depend on it. I really missed surfing the net last night. It' back up now though, so everything's OK.Let's see,..great weather...efficient bureaucracy...and internet back up? Sounds like a lucky day to me. Maybe I should head for the Casino...shoot a little craps....come on 7.Be well,tom
