6/29/07Welcome to birth day central. We are taking my son Robert out for dinner in honor of his birthday tonight. He is now 28. Julie must have robbed the cradle. that's the only way I can figure that a young guy like me has kids this old.today has been good so far. I went to the lab this morning and had blood drawn for testing. Usually they have trouble finding a vein in my arm and ,after several botched attempts, will wind up taking it from my hand. It was different today because the tech (phlebotomist?)was able to draw it from the arm on the first try!! Now that was a very pleasant surprise!! I was in and out of the lab in no time which is also unusual. It seems that I have been there so often that my general info is already in their databank. Not bad!I got a call from Julie a little after I got home. It seems that she had run out of gas (again) on the highway. So it was grab the gas can and go....super tom to the rescue.   Honestly, I really think that it would give Julie a stroke to put in more than $10 gas at a time. Even when we were driving home from Colorado last fall,she wanted me to limit my refueling to $20. After explaining to her that this would cause us to have to stop for fuel about 2-3 more times, she reluctantly agreed that we should fill up the car....but she didn't like it. Oh well, we all have our foibles. (Now that I am retired, maybe I'll check her fuel gauge each night. Save myself a few trips.)Other than that nothing much is going on.
