6/25/2007In all modesty, I'm the man!!...I cleaned and organized the unfinished part of our basement. I peeled back more levels of faded civilizations than most archaeologists do in a career!! (Look, it's a pair of MC Hammer parachute pants....I remember Rob just had to have these when he was in the 4th grade....wore them all of 2 weeks. ) I removed enough rubble and stuff we didn't need (but it was just too good to throw out) to fill two dumpsters. We still have enough extra furniture to furnish a small hotel but it is no longer blocking access to the water cutoff or breaker box. I meant to do this over the weekend but I just ran out of gas. However my list of things to do is finally completed.(for now. Julie can be very creative) Actually I'm pretty pleased that I was able to finish it. I wasn't real confident but ,with some break time worked in, I was able to do it. there may be some life in the old man yet. I'm never going to be mistaken for a master handyman but I was pleased with my efforts. Asthma tried to rain on my parade once, but by taking frequent breaks, I finished the job.I feel as if I just won one for all us "geezer wheezers".Be well,tomp.s. No chest pain today. A major plus.tom

You da man! I thought you didn\'t have much energy, where did this come from. Do you have a well you\'re hiding from us? Sometime I should tell you about our basement. You\'re my hero!
Sometimes knowing you have a job that needs doing will just stay on your mind. Once I started I did have a bad moment or two but I was overwhelmed with a grim determination to complete the job. If I quit I didn\'t know when I would finish up. I had to take far more breaks than I would have a year ago but I did it!
